Beam data for TSL

The Anita Facility - Quasi-monoenergetic neutron beam facility - Protons

The ANITA (Atmosperic-like Neutrons from thIck TArget) facility provides a neutron beam with atmospheric-like spectrum (”white”, ”spallation” neutrons), primarily for studies and testing of electronic components and systems for neutron-induced single-event effects (SEE).

KEY PARAMETERS:
  • neutron spectrum: atmospheric-like up to 150 MeV
  • neutron flux >10 MeV: approx. 10ˆ6 cm-2 s-1 , corresponding to the acceleration factor of approx. 300 million*
  • user flux control within the range 5*10ˆ0...1*10ˆ6 cmˆ-2 sˆ-1
  • neutron beam spot size: controllable, 1 cm … 120 cm
